About

Budding Space was created so that anyone who wishes to invest in their mental well-being can get the support they need.

We believe mental well-being is more than the absence of disorder — it’s self-awareness, and the ability to handle stress. It’s working productively, feeling fulfilled, and connecting meaningfully with others. In short, it’s the foundation for flourishing.

DR. AMANDA OH*

Founder, Clinical Psychologist

Since 2011, Amanda has devoted her clinical practice to trauma work. Over the years, she’s supported individuals through stress-related difficulties, social and emotional challenges, and a wide range of psychological concerns. This includes mood and anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, substance-related issues, and somatic symptoms.

She also conducts formal psychological assessments to help clients better understand themselves and navigate their educational or professional lives.

Her therapeutic style is integrative and client-centred, drawing on multiple evidence-based approaches. But above all, she believes meaningful therapeutic work is built on trust, safety, support, and nurturance — the conditions that make real healing and growth possible. To her, mental health is a form of wealth. She’s deeply committed to helping people care for their inner world and recognise just how much it matters.

Through Budding Space, she hopes more people discover their strengths, unlock their potential, and find fulfilling, meaningful ways to live.

COFFEE OH

Meet Coffee Oh.

Coffee is a mini black poodle and an important part of the Budding Space team. Friendly, expressive, and decidedly opinionated, she has no trouble communicating when she’s excited to see you—or when she needs a little space.

At Budding Space, Coffee models something we all need more of: healthy boundaries. She shows us that it’s okay to express our needs, respect the needs of others, and still stay connected.

And if dogs aren’t quite your thing, that’s completely okay. Coffee is happy to curl up on Amanda’s lap and snooze quietly through the session. She’ll be there when you want her, and give you space when you don’t.

In her own very poodle-like way, Coffee is part of what makes Budding Space a safe, warm, and welcoming place to be.

Our Team

Beyond our founder, Budding Space is growing to include a network of trained associate therapists, each bringing their own expertise and approach. Whoever you work with, you can expect the same commitment to safety, trust, and meaningful care.
